ASTRID WALSH - BIOGRAPHY

I am an artist and illustrator living and working in Cobh in Cork Harbour. I grew up in Dublin with an Irish father and a Geman mother. I studied Sociology and German at Trinity College before going on to study Fine Art at the Institute of Art and Design, Dun Laoghaire. I have worked with many different materials and in collaboration with other artists, dancers and groups. Since having my child in 2016 I have come back to drawing and painting, mainly on paper.

With a background in Sociology and Social Research, my interests include nature and ecosystems, Human Psychology, Philosophy and Spirituality.
